Website Refresh

My Website Refresh service prepares your website for a Website Care Plan. All websites must have a clean bill of health before joining.

Website Refresh Includes:

  • Full Website Backup to preserve your valuable content
  • Security Scan for best site safety
  • Software Updates as a preventative security measure and the latest features
  • Reviewing your site code to familiarize ourselves with your site build and to scan for potential issues
  • Speed optimization to improve your site's loading time
  • Broken link scan and fix for better SEO
  • Recommendations report
  • 2 hours of support, design & development time to address any issues and implement our recommendations

Who Needs Website Refresh?

  • New Clients. If I didn't build your website.
  • Previous Clients. If I built your website and you launched more than 60 days ago; or if you've had a Website Care Plan, let it lapse, and it's been more than 60 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the monthly time roll over?

The monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in my queue and my resources; therefore, there is no rollover.

Do I need to pay for my ongoing software licenses?

If Crushtopia created your website and you're on a Care Plan, I'll make sure all your premium theme and plugin licenses are paid and active. If you cancel your Care Plan, you will be responsible for renewing your licenses so you can keep your website up to date.

If I didn't create your website, you'll need to pay for any premium licenses. I will advise as to any premium license requirements in your Website Refresh.

What happens after I sign up?

Once you've signed up and made payment, you'll be asked for your current WordPress dashboard and web hosting login details so I can perform initial backups. I'll then check your website for any functional or security issues and complete your software updates. I'll also provide you with information about how to access our VIP support.

I have an eCommerce site. Which Care Plan do I choose?

WooCommerce add-ons are available for all of our plans.

Why should Uptime be monitored?

Without software to monitor when your site is live, there may be long server outages before you notice there is a problem. This can cost you potential leads and sales. My software monitors your website and notifies me if it goes down so I can explore and resolve the issue.

My site isn't built on WordPress. Can I still sign up?

At Crushtopia we only support WordPress due to its design and functional flexibility. If you have a SquareSpace, Wix, Weebly, Shopify or other website content management system, your site won't be suitable for our Care Plans.

My website was not built by Crushtopia. Can I still be on a Care Plan?

Yes! Apply below to see if your site is eligible for our Website Refresh.

Although these plans are intended for sites we build or re-design, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated webmaster.

We first like to do a Website Refresh to become familiar with the website, how it was built, and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation, we will take a full backup and perform all the software updates and monitoring. Most importantly, we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan.

The Website Refresh includes 2 hours of updates. If your website requires extensive work beyond this scope, we'll discuss options with you before any work is started.

Do the Care Plans include website hosting and domain name renewal?

No. At Crushtopia we believe you should have complete ownership over your hosting and domains, so you will need to keep paying your current renewals.

We highly recommend our hosting partner Siteground. If you sign up to one of our Care Plans, we'll organize your website migration free of charge. We can help you choose the plan that is best for your needs.

Can I cancel anytime or am I under a long-term contract?

You can cancel anytime! If you no longer want to continue your monthly Care Plan, we'll cancel your recurring payment, but we'll still maintain your website until your current month has finished. Then, it's up to you to make sure your website is up to date and secure. You can join again anytime, but note that if it's been over 2 months or you've made significant changes, you'll need to purchase the Website Refresh so we can get your website updated and functional.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website gets rolled in the ER, we will be there right by its side communicating with the web hosting on your behalf. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

Glad you asked! Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is free game. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

What if I need more support time hours?

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan.

However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for the time exceeded at the lesser of our current support rate of $100/hr or your plan rate.

How do Strategy Calls work?

Email is our best form of communication since it yields the fastest response. However, we know brainstorming works best on the phone or on a video call. These consulting calls are reserved for our Standard and Preferred clients. They help focus a trajectory of the website for growth and improvements. Many times clients use the time to online screen-share small updates or training.
